Affordable Housing Communities

Helping You Navigate Affordable Housing

Methodist Homes offers affordable housing communities for older adults who meet income qualifications and are able to live independently in a reliable, properly-maintained environment. This page is designed to help you understand how our housing works and how to take the next step.

Methodist Homes offers two types of affordable housing, each designed to make monthly costs more manageable. Each community has its own qualifications and availability. Our team can help you understand which option may be right for you.

Income-Based Housing

The rent amount you would pay is generally capped at 30% of your actual adjusted gross income.

Rent-Restricted Housing

The rent amount at the community is based on a percentage of the Area Median Income (AMI), not your individual income.

Understanding the Process

Affordable housing is in high demand. Availability varies by community and timing. The application process includes completing forms, verifying income and providing required documentation. While the process may take time, we work to make each step as clear and straightforward as possible. If you have questions at any point, our team can help.
